PALMER — The Valley Women’s Running Team hosted its Fair Day 5-K Aug. 30, reviving a tradition of a 5-kilometer race during the Alaska State Fair. Overall and age group winners received a 5-pound bag of homegrown potatoes from VanderWheele Farm. The youngest runner was 5-year-old Emily Bishop, while the overall winners were Christopher Ashland and Jill Aho.
