Family bringing message to Valley

A family of three that lives on the road is making a stop in Wasilla, and bringing their message of revival to the Valley.

Mark Drake, along with Linda and Amanda Drake, will be at King's Chapel Jan. 27-30. On Sunday, they will be there at 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. and on Monday through Wednesday they will be at King's Chapel at 7 p.m.

The family lives on the road, continually stopping at churches around the country.

Their meetings are "marked with the power of the Holy Spirit that brings healing, hope and sets people free. Mark teaches about what he learned, surrounded by revival, until he was finally overtaken by mercy and grace," according to the family's pamphlet.

Wherever the family has stopped, the message has been felt by congregations.

"We were saturated by the Holy Spirit and impacted even more by Mark's powerful teaching," said Jim Keyes, senior pastor of the Fayetteville Assembly of God in North Carolina.

"Our church experienced the most spontaneous, sovereign move of God I have ever witnessed. Mark's teaching on the power of the Holy Spirit is the best I have ever heard," wrote Micah Smith, senior pastor of the Amazing Grace Fellowship.

Drake resigned his ministry after 25 years because success did not bring him personal satisfaction. He said he found himself empty and confused. While a revival was going on in the church, Drake still found himself depressed. For the next three years, Drake said he did everything he could to seek God, but nothing seemed to work.

Then, in a 17-day encounter, Drake said God transformed his life and placed on him an anointing to help others experience more of God's presence. That's when Drake and his family decided to take to the road and help teach others.

The Drakes will be at King's Chapel, which was formerly known as Valley Worship Center. The church is located at Mile 39.5 Parks Hwy. The driveway to the church is located on the hill above Sears, between Sears and Nye Ford.
