PALMER — On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21 Alaska Raceway Park hosted Top Eliminator, Pro-Nostalgia, and Points races. Below are the winners and runners-up in each class:
Top Eliminator
• Winner: Mike Ginnett of Anchorage in his 1967 Chevrolet Chevy II 548 ci big block with an E.T. of 9.1922 at 142.91 mph and a 0.1818 reaction time.
• Runner-up: Nathan Thornsley of Palmer in his 620 ci dragster; he experienced mechanical difficulties.
Super ET
• Winner: Karl Solberg of Anchorage in his 1973 Chevy Camaro 350 ci with an E.T. of 11.6375 at 111.91 mph and a 0.0648 reaction time.
• Runner-up: Pam VanDenBerg of Eagle River in her 1972 Dodge Demon 440 ci. Pam was too quick at the light, with a -0.1177 reaction time, with an E.T. of 11.5801 at 113.46 mph.
Modified ET
• Winner: Monte Soper of Palmer in his 1968 Chevy Camaro 434 ci with an E.T. of 9.6187 at 129.48 mph and a 0.0296 reaction time.
• Runner-up: Spike T. of Palmer in his 1969 Pontiac Firebird 454 ci with an E.T. of 11.0326 at 124.06 mph and a 0.1577 reaction time.

• Winner: Johny Jones of Anchorage on his 2009 Kawasaki ZX14 1400 cc with an E.T. of 9.4614 at 134.47 mph and a 0.0780 reaction time.
• Runner-up: Roy Rank of Anchorage on his Suzuki Hayabusa 1350 cc with an E.T. of 12.3613 at 103.33 mph and a 0.1600 reaction time.
Pro-Nostalgia
• Winner: Mark Eslinger of Wasilla in his 1932 Bantam Altered with a 540 ci Chevy. His E.T. was 8.0026 at 161.89 mph and a 0.1468 reaction time.
• Runner-up: Brian Aszmus of Anchorage in his 1932 alcohol-injected Bantam Altered with a small-block Chevy. His E.T. was 8.1946 at 157.45 mph, but he was too quick at the light with a reaction time of -0.0338.
Junior Dragster
• Winner: Michael Kuentzel of Anchorage in his junior dragster with an E.T. of 8.5431 at the eighth-mile at 72.84 mph and a 0.2114 reaction time.
• Runner-up: Brandon Huck of Eagle River in his junior dragster with an E.T. of 9.6592 at 65.78 mph and a reaction time of 0.3035.
Trophy
• Winner: Steve Lord of Chugiak, who won his last trophy about 20 years ago, returned to clock a 12.8784 at 107.80 mph and a 0.1484 reaction time in his Ford Mustang 5.0.
• Runner-up: Tim Wilson of Chugiak in his Ford Mustang 5.0, with an E.T. of 11.9553 at 115.93 mph and a 0.3064 reaction time.
