PALMER - Colony senior Teemu Maki scored two goals, Knight goalkeeper Jake Williams recorded a shutout, and Colony head coach Jeremy Johnson earned his 100th career win in a 4-0 victory over South Anchorage on Tuesday.
Colony improved to 5-0-1 with the win.
Maki, a foreign exchange student from Finland, gave the Knights a 1-0 lead off a rebound from his own penalty kick midway through the first period. Colony midfielder Bryan Peters drew a penalty and Maki followed by kicking in the free shot that deflected off the South goalkeeper.
Three minutes later Maki drew a penalty, converted the free attempt and gave the Knights the 2-0 advantage.
"Finland came up big for us today," Colony junior Ian Walton said. "I think he's had a goal or two in all of our games so far."
Walton also factored heavily into the Knight scoring, grabbing a goal and an assist in the second half.
Midway through the second half, Walton got the ball over to Jarrod Carney and Carney put a shot into the South net. Walton scored late in regulation.
But it was the play of Williams that ultimately allowed Johnson to reach 100 wins. The keeper was tested early and often and was forced to make diving saves and stops in traffic.
"We're lucky to be this deep in goal," Johnson said. "We have George Percak-Dennett, and if all else fails we have Ian (Walton), our all-conference goalkeeper from two years ago when he was a freshman. We haven't put him in net since, because he's so good in the field."
South dropped to 2-3-1 with the loss.
