WILLOW — The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating as suspicious an early morning structure fire that consumed an abandoned building at 24350 W. Pool Dr.
Mat-Su Borough Fire Department and Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene around 12:30 a.m., Thursday and found no known source of ignition and no people inside when the fire was extinguished. Their investigation found the “structure had no known source of ignition,” according to an AST press release. An investigation into the fire’s cause continues.
Mat-Su Borough property tax records list the building as valued at $42,500.
