ANCHORAGE — The Colony boys scored a 49-38 win over rival Palmer during first-round action of the ASAA First National Bank 4A State Basketball Championships. The Knights wil now face South Anchorage in the semifinals Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the Sullivan Arena.
Colony, the Northern Lights Conference champion, is searching for its second straight appearance in the 4A state title game. The Knights finished as the runner-up last season.
Grant Niver finished 6-for-7 from the free-throw line and led the KNights with a game-high 12 points. T.J. Fullmer also collected 12 for Palmer.
The Moose are pushed backward in the bracket, and face Juneau-Douglas at 9:40 a.m. Friday at the Sullivan.
