First round: Wasilla girls 57, Juneau-Douglas 47 FINAL

ANCHORAGE — Senior Shelby Fulton was 10-of-12 from the free-throw line during the final two minutes of regulation and led the Wasilla Warriors to a 57-47 win over the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears during the first round of the ASAA First National Bank 4A State Basketball Championships at West Anchorage High School on Thursday.

The contest marked a rematch of the 2007 state title game. Wasilla now plays the winner of the Chugiak-Lathrop quarterfinal in the semis.
