Five-goal second period drives West past Colony

ANCHORAGE — West Anchorage scored five second-period goals en route to a 12-1 nonconference win over the Colony Knights in Anchorage on Tuesday.

Braden Carter scored the lone goal for the Knights.

South blanks Moose

PALMER — The South Anchorage Wolverines blanked Palmer 10-0.

Palmer senior goalie Jonas Naegele stopped 50 South Anchorage shots for the Moose.

Patriots scream

past Hawks

WASILLA — After holding a slim 2-1 lead late in the first, North Pole scored 13 goals during the final two periods in a 16-2 win over the Houston Hawks at the Curtis C. Menard II Memorial Ice Arena on Thursday.

Zach Lovelace and Ken Doss scored for Houston.

Lovelace also assisted on the Doss score.
