Weighty in Willow

I joined the Trim to Win program last year and lost 11 pounds. Now I'm at it again with the desire to lose another 11 or so. In the intervening year, I took a cooking class at Mat-Su Regional called the Cancer Project. It is taught by Delisa Renideo (373-1526). I learned how and why to eat more fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains and legumes. Delisa demonstrated how to do it and make it tasty too. Based on what I learned there I have changed my diet a lot.

I first was inspired to take the Delisa's class because I had high cholesterol. My doctor did not want to put me on medication so it was my alternative. The last cholesterol test showed I lost 40 points. I am still awaiting the results from the more recent test.
