Treyvon Johnson, a 30-year-old former Colony High School custodian, is scheduled for a May 15 trial in Palmer Superior Court on 10 counts of possession of child pornography, 10 counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
According to online court documents, Johnson was extradited from Broward County, Florida, and was arraigned before Palmer Judge Kari Kristiansen April 13. According to Mat-Su Borough School District spokeswoman Catherine Esary, Johnson served as a school custodian for about 1 1/2 years.
According to charging documents, the possession charges stem from a March 9, 2017, investigation in which Alaska Bureau of Investigation alleged Johnson possessed 10 videos on a hard drive. The 10 distribution charges stem from an Alaska State Trooper investigation started on Jan. 22, 2017, and involved 10 electronic photographs. The video and picture file titles appear to indicate pedophilia, rape, toddlers and pre-teens.
The court set bail at $50,000 cash appearance and court-appointed third party. According to online court records, Johnson has had no other misdemeanor or felony charges filed against him in the state of Alaska.
