Another undefeated week carried Caleb Hopkins of Palmer to another Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week honor, his second in the last three weeks.

The Campbell University redshirt sophomore posted wins in both matches to finish a perfect 7-0 this season in the conference.

Hopkins has a 9-1 record on the season and was ranked No. 23 at 184 pounds in the first coaches ranking for the 2021 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships.

His only loss of the year was to No. 2 Hunter Bolen of Virginia Tech.

Hopkins, of Colony High fame, posted another 2-0 week for the Camels and finished the conference dual season undefeated for the second straight year.

His first win of the week came by pin against Bellarmine’s Samuel Woolf in just 41 seconds, a season best time.

Hopkins then took down No. 12 Matthew Waddell from Chattanooga, 5-2, a crucial part of CU’s come from behind win over the Mocs.

Campbell is ranked No. 23 in the NWCA poll and No. 19 in the InterMat dual rankings. The team will be off until the Southern Conference Championships on Feb. 28.
