WASILLA - If anyone out there is missing a hose to a gas pump, contact the Wasilla Police Department.
Saturday night, WPD received a report of someone driving a 1993 black Jeep Cherokee in a reckless manner. Officer Don Ridge responded and stopped the Jeep on the Parks Highway at Hermon Street just after 1 a.m., according to police.
Ridge identified the driver as Nakea Stinger, 20, of Anchorage.
Stinger's vehicle was dragging a hose from a gasoline pump.
By Monday afternoon, there still was no indication where the hose came from, according to Deputy Chief Angella Long. Long said there are a few safety checks within a fuel pumping system, so a torn hose wouldn't leave a pump spraying gasoline.
Ridge learned Stinger was driving with a revoked license and had been drinking. She was cited for minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol and received a a summons for driving with a revoked license.
Ridge also issued citations to two passengers in Stinger's Jeep for minor consuming alcohol.
The Jeep was towed and impounded until it could be retrieved by the registered owner, according to the police report.
