WASILLA — Police are investigating a robbery in the Wal-Mart parking lot but say they don’t have a lot to go on.
Wasilla police were called to the parking lot on Tuesday where they met with a 20-year-old man who said a 6-foot, 300-pound man wearing black pants and a black shirt with long black hair and facial hair robbed him of $240 with a knife, then ran off toward Old Matanuska Road.
Deputy Police Chief Greg Wood, said police have not yet identified a suspect.
“I know they searched the area immediately after the call and they weren’t able to find somebody that matched that description,” Wood said. “It happened in an area of the parking lot that was not covered by cameras.”

The two children, age 9 and 11, were found shortly before 8:30 p.m., nine miles from the search area, in good condition, walking to a relative’s home, state troopers report.
