WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers said they made one more arrest Sunday in connection with an alleged meth lab uncovered near Palmer earlier this month.
According to a trooper press statement, drug investigators, patrol troopers and Wasilla police officers collaborated to execute a traffic stop at USA Circle and Crusey Street.
Inside the vehicle they found Rosemarie Garnand, 40, of Wasilla. She was arrested for reckless endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
In an affidavit trooper investigator Mike Ingram filed in the original meth lab case, the target of the investigation was Thor Williamson, who is facing a raft of serious drug offenses.
But when troopers served a warrant on Williamson’s home on Shenandoah Drive, he wrote, “I found (Williamson), his self-proclaimed wife, Rosemarie Garnand, and some children occupying the residence.”
A search of the home turned up chemicals commonly used to make meth and “meth pipes, syringes and other drug paraphernalia in every bedroom of the residence; including the children’s bedroom,” Ingram wrote.
Garnand was jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $1,500 bail and will need to find a third party to watch over her before she can be released. A check of jail records Wednesday afternoon showed she was still incarcerated.

Troopers say that sometime the night before someone broke into the store and stole booze, cash and the ATM.

3 rescued from Knik Glacier
MAT-SU — The Alaska Air National Guard says it rescued all three people who went down with a Cessna that crashed on the Knik Glacier Monday.
According to a military press release, the Aero Club Cessna 172 had three people on board and had taken off from Elmendorf Air Force Base.
The Rescue Coordination Center on Fort Richardson picked up a signal from the plane’s Emergency Locator Transmitter and sent a helicopter from the guard’s 210th, 211th and 212th rescue squadrons.
Upon reaching the glacier, guardsmen spotted the plane’s occupants and the 210th landed a Pave Hawk helicopter on the ice while the 212th helped passengers once they were on board.
The guard described the crash site as at “the top” of the glacier; meaning the altitude of the rescue scene was significant and proved to be something of a drain on the helicopter’s fuel, so they gassed up before returning to Elmendorf.
None of the passengers were injured in the crash.
