FROM THE BLOTTER: Mobile meth lab lands Oklahoma man in jail

BUTTE — An Oklahoma man jailed on warrants from his home state saw new charges filed when Alaska State Troopers say they found a methamphetamine lab in the car he was driving the day he was arrested.

According to trooper reports, Steven W. Kitterman, 41, was arrested at Mile 14 Old Glenn Highway on July 18.

Troopers say they seized the vehicle he was in and a tote that was inside it. They got a warrant and searched the vehicle the next day, turning up “a large amount of meth lab-related chemicals and waste … which were related to the ‘One Pot’ method of manufacturing methamphetamine.”

There was also a loaded gun in the tote.

In addition to the warrants, Kitterman faces charges of drug misconduct and weapons misconduct. His bail on the new charges was set at $50,000.
