Driver can’t elude troopers
MEADOW LAKES — It took a tire-deflation device to stop a Ford car troopers say ran from them on the outskirts of Wasilla Sunday.
According to a trooper press statement, troopers noticed a blue Ford car with a broken headlight and tried to stop Hila Barel, 24, of Israel, at the Parks Highway and Museum Street.
They say Barel didn’t pull over and continued on to Meadow Lakes Road where the Ford’s tires were deflated. Barel was handed a summons for second-degree eluding arrest and released at the scene.
