Palmer senior Morgan Morfe has been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Student Athlete of the Week.
With her all-around play, Morfe helped the Palmer Moose finish third in the ASAA/First National Bank 4A State Volleyball Championships at the Curtis D. Menard Memorial Sports Center on Saturday.
Morfe collected 10 digs to help Palmer beat West Valley 3-1 in the third-place match.
The Moose earned their highest state tourney finish since 2007. The Frontiersman congratulates Morfe on her success.
