Frozen puddles can be mesmerizing

Photos by Kyle Wilkinson

During my blacktail deer hunt last November, I stumbled across many frozen puddles throughout the icy muskegs that I crunched over and through. Each of them was unique and I took photos of many of my favorites. My hunting partners were a bit puzzled when I continuously stopped to take photos of ice sometimes every couple of minutes. The fine details and intricate patterns were mesmerizing to me. Each one told a different story, it seemed. Here are a series of photos of some of my favorite puddles from the trip. I do believe that taking a moment to enjoy the small details make the entire adventure more memorable and more enjoyable.
