Fund for dead woman’s children

To the editor:

The passing of Debra Torrey on the night of Feb. 3 proved to be a tragic event that touched many lives. Our prayers are with all involved, including the family, the law enforcement and public safety employees that responded and the friends and neighbors who did what they could to help that night.

A few members of the community have put together a fund to help Torrey’s 14- and 15-year-old children. The fund is set up at Mat Valley Federal Credit Union, account # 126515. All donations will go to help the children with some of the financial needs that have arisen as a result of this and expenses going forward.

Thank you to all in advance and please keep the Torrey children in your prayers.
