WASILLA — A fundraiser to help the family of Tanaina Elementary School second-grader Alexia Faith Holcomb, 7, is from 6 to 8 p.m., May 3 in the Tanaina gymnasium.
Holdomb has been diagnosed with a rare muscle cancer and her treatment requires 43 weeks of chemotherapy. The fundraiser includes food and live music by singer/songwriters Hank Roesing and Adele Morgan. Alaska Pride Jazz Team also will perform. In addition, a silent auction and a children’s clothing sale are planned.
Friends also are selling small donation boxes with six cookies, two popcorn balls and a stuffed monkey for $10 each at multiple locations throughout the Valley to help raise funds. For specific location information, contact 357-3383, malorie@vannoyelectric.com or dan.vannoyelectric@gmail.com.
