Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Lifelong Alaska resident Gabriel Squire (Egure), 19, died Dec. 24, 2004, at his home in Anchorage. A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, 3900 Wisconsin St., Anchorage, with a service following at noon. Father Vincent Blancho will officiate.
Mr. Squire was born June 13, 1985 in Anchorage. He was working at a local school as a teacher's aide.
His family wrote, "He was a quiet, loving, caring and giving person who also loved animals very much. He will be greatly missed by everyone in his life."
Mr. Squire is survived by his mother and stepfather, Martha and Brian Squire; father, Alfredo Egure; brother, William Squire; sisters, Laura Vasquez, Angela Egure, Sarah Watts, Krista Squire, Savannah Squire and numerous other extended family members.
Arrangements were made by Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary and Crematory.
