Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Lifelong Alaskan and resident of Wasilla, Gail Bjornstad, 52, died August 27, 2005, from heart failure at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, at First Presbyterian Church in Wasilla, where she was a faithful member.
She was born December 12, 1952, in Anchorage to Chris and Mary Frances Bjornstad.
Her friends wrote, "Although she was frail in life, Gail was blessed with a family and friends that loved her and helped care for her throughout her years. She will be missed by those who spent time with her and knew her."
She is survived by numerous cousins and relatives in Washington, Oregon and Wisconsin.
Arrangements are with Valley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wasilla.
