Garreth A. Schindler, 69, died Feb. 6, 2006, at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center near Palmer. A visitation will be held Monday at Kehl's Palmer Mortuary Chapel from noon-1:30 p.m., with a service to follow. Burial will be at Palmer Pioneer Cemetery at 2 p.m.
Mr. Schindler was born June 18, 1936, in Rochester, N.Y., and moved to Alaska in 1980, living in Palmer. He worked as a laborer, doing odd jobs over the years. He is survived by his longtime friend, Maggie Kochutin of Palmer. Arrangements are with Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
