Mat-Su — Work crews have repaired a leaking gas main at the construction site of the new AT&T Alascom Sports Center construction site on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway.
A construction crew accidentally ruptured a 6-inch line off Double B Road and the highway at about 10:30 a.m. There were no injuries and no fire, but there was a strong smell of gas in the area, the Borough reports. The highway remaned open while ENSTAR Natural Gas Co. isolated and repaired the line, which was damaged by construction workers.
