Palmer resident Gene Willard Buchanan, 76, died Feb. 10, 2004, at his home in Palmer.
A celebration of life will be held at the family home Saturday from 1-5 p.m.
Mr. Buchanan was born Dec. 10, 1972, in Rosebery, Idaho.
He came to Alaska in 1964, where he resided in Palmer until his death. He was an operator for the 302 Union for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife Laura, of 52 years; son Gene M. Buchanan of Palmer; daughter and son-in-law Amy and Rick Mathis of Palmer; daughter Sandra Buchanan of Chickaloon; stepsons Leroy Faller and Samual Faller Sr. of Palmer; sister Judy Tew of Houma, La.; sister Linda Lester of Boise, Idaho; brother Perry N Buchanan Sr. of Seward; step-brother Robert Revis of Spint Lake, Idaho; 30 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
