Genre-bending hip-hop artist BigXThaPlug to play Alaska State Fair

BigXthaPlug, the rising star out of Dallas, Texas, will perform at the Alaska State Fair on Sunday, August 30, at 7 p.m. as part of the 2026 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 20, at 10 a.m. AKST at alaskastatefair.org.

BigX emerged as a breakout artist with platinum-certified singles “Texas,” “Mmhmm” and “Levels,” which helped launch his sophomore album, Take Care. The album debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, and “Mmhmm” was recognized on Apple Music’s Rap Life: Best of 2024 and Spotify’s Top Tracks of 2024.

He has also made a splash in the country music scene with his crossover hit “All The Way,” featuring Bailey Zimmerman, which debuted at #1 on Spotify’s U.S. chart, reached No. 2 on Apple Music, hit No. 4 globally on Spotify, and soared to No. 1 on YouTube’s Trending Top Music Videos chart. In recognition of his genre-blurring impact, BigX was honored with the Billboard Country Innovator of the Year Award in 2025 and a Billboard Future Genre cover spotlight.

BigX fans can choose between concert-only tickets or tickets including Fair admission (discounted and valid only for the day of the concert). BigX is the fourth act announced to date in the 2026 ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series lineup, joining indie pop trio AJR, taking the stage on August 21; alt-rockers CAKE, who will perform on August 27, and heavy metal icons Twisted Sister, rocking the Fair on September 4.
