Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Gerald R. "Jerry" Bosch died suddenly Nov.16, 2002, at Alaska Regional Hospital with his family by his side.
Funeral services were held Nov. 22 at Wasilla Assembly of God. Pastor Paul Riley officiated. Burial was at Wasilla Aurora Cemetery.
Mr. Bosch was born Aug. 14, 1931, in Galewood, Mich. He served in the Marine Corps for two years, one year of which was in Korea.
He moved to Alaska in 1969 with his wife and six children
He worked as a self-employed auto body repair man for 25 years in Michigan and Alaska. He was a self-employed local businessman with several convenience stores and an equipment rental business at the time of his death.
He loved to hunt and fish and watch the news on CNN.
His family said, "He will be dearly missed by his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Patricia, of Big Lake; his six children, Mike Bosch of Wasilla, Sandy Wright of Willow, Dave Bosch of Wasilla, Jeff Bosch of Anchorage, Valarie Robinson of Willow and Nancy Meehan of Wasilla. He is also survived by two older brothers and a twin sister in Michigan; by 20 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many friends.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home.
