We complain about property taxes. We shake our heads in disbelief about a ferry that has become a money pit. We are indignant when our roads are not plowed to our liking. We hate the cell tower looming over our property line. We don’t see why nothing is done about erosion and flooding. We think our schools should be doing a better job.
And yet in the last Mat-Su Borough election, 85 percent of registered voters did not vote.
It time to leave early for work, pile the kids in the car or simply get off the couch and vote in the borough election Oct. 1. Otherwise we need to stop complaining and continue to accept whatever comes our way.
