The Greater Wasilla and Greater Palmer chambers of commerce will host a series of candidate forums this summer. The series will include local, state and congressional candidates. The candidates for governor will participate in a forum. Based on their performance, four of the candidates will be invited to participate in a debate the following week.
Those who aren’t able attend can tune in to Country Legends 100.9 to learn about the candidates and their ideas for Alaska, the Mat-Su Borough and the cities of Palmer and Wasilla.
These forums are free; however, seating in the Alaska Club Theater is available on a first-come first-served basis.
Scheduling is subject to change, you may check for updates at wasillachamber.org or palmerchamber.org. Partnership opportunities are available; contact Diana at 376-1299.
Sponsors for these events include The Alaska Club Valley, Spirit of Alaska Broadcasting, Country Legends 100.9, Radio Free Palmer and Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman.
The majority of the forums will be held at the Alaska Club, 1720 Parks Highway.
