Girls soccer: Moose, Patriots play to wild tie

PALMER — The Palmer Moose played to a wild nonconference girls’ soccer tie with North Pole Friday evening.

Catherine Uschmann, Caile Dosser and Emma Obeso all scored for the Moose. There were also a pair of North Pole own-goals, one in each half.

The teams were tied 3-3 at halftime.

Thursday, Lathrop scored a 3-1 win over Palmer. Kiley Fish posted the lone goal for Palmer, a direct kick from about 35 yards out.

Palmer suffered a pair of losses to the Interior teams. Lathrop edged the Moose boys 1-0 on Thursday. North Pole beat the Moose 2-0.

Stars blank Hawks

The Soldotna Stars scored a 9-0 boys’ soccer win over Houston Wednesday in Soldotna.
