Girls soccer: Palmer, Colony play to 3-3 tie

PALMER — Tess Anderson posted a hat trick to help the Palmer Moose salvage a 3-3 tie against the Colony Knights at Colony High School on Tuesday.

Anderson scored her third goal late in the second half to help her team secure a tie in their first match of the season. With two Anderson goals, Palmer took a 2-1 lead into the intermission.

“We played pretty well in the first half, and kind of struggled in the second half,” Palmer head coach Brian Fish said.

Kara Larson, Sara Kenley and Katie Gonski each scored for Colony.

Colony boys 4, Palmer 2

Colony used four first-half goals to score a 4-2 win over the Palmer Moose on Tuesday.

Freshman James Meaney, sophomore Oliver Querin, junior Bridger Van Ness and junior Cody Fritz each scored for Colony. Will Ott and Chad Skogstad posted second-half goals for PHS.
