Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Wasilla resident Gisela "G.G." Ann Rose, 48, died at the Alpine Oilfield worksite in the North Slope Borough on March 14, 2005. Visitation and funeral services were held March 21 at Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla.
Mrs. Rose was born July 22, 1956, in Billings, Mont. In her youth, she was honored with a trip to Japan by the Girl Scouts of America. She was a truck driver and excavator by trade and was a member of the Teamsters Union. She enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, drawing, river huskies and taking late afternoon drives through to sunset.
Her son and grandson wrote, "She worked too hard and was taken too soon. Reasons for her death, we may never find. She taught us to speak our minds and she believed in Karma. We'll miss her always, but will always hear her laugh and say, 'Hey there, Kid.' Her memory will forever live in those she has touched and helped make strong."
Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Richards, and her uncle, Max, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Lee F. Rose of Wasilla; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremiah H. and Jody Storer of Spokane, Wash.; father, Fred H. Richards of Priest River, Idaho; mother, Johanna Richards of Michigan; grandson, Emanuel Max Storer of Spokane, Wash.; aunts, Etty Csusc of Ontario, Canada and Judy of Lander, Wyo.; stepson, Tyrone Rose of Wasilla; stepdaughter, Ashley Rose of Missouri and numerous other cousins throughout the U.S.
Donations may be made in care of Jeremiah Storer, 10005 N. Andrew, Spokane, WA 99218. Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
