Glad Sen. Mike Dunleavy is on Finance Committee

To the editor:

It is a good thing that a Valley lawmaker, Sen. Mike Dunleavy, is on the Senate Finance Committee. I appreciate the committee’s decision to scale back funding for the boondoggle Susitna Dam and invest Alaska’s budget on projects that will actually help reduce heating and energy costs for Alaskans without destroying our valuable fish and game resources. Thanks to Sen. Dunleavy for his wisdom and leadership on this matter. It is my hope that our House delegation from the Valley will show equal fiscal responsibility and restraint when the budget comes their way for approval.
