Mr. Keil was born Sept. 14, 1953, in Kalispell, Mont., to Glen and Deo Keil. He moved to Alaska in 1971 with his family and married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Jo Malmassari, in Issaquah, Wash., in August 1973. The two have made their home in Alaska since then.

His family wrote, &#8221He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmachining. His nieces and nephews learned much from Glen about all these things, and were especially close to him and Peggy. Glen and Peggy also loved to entertain, and their home and cabin were frequently filled with happy, well-fed family and friends. Glen will be remembered for so many things: his guitar playing and singing, his sense of humor and quick wit, his generosity, his outdoor and carpentry skills, and his helpfulness to everyone he knew.“

Mr. Keil and his father, Glen Keil Sr., owned their own business, Keil Interior Construction, for many years. After his father retired, Mr. Keil changed the name to Keil Acoustical, and kept the business going for several more years, after which he continued working around the state for the Carpenters Union Local 1281. Mr. Keil was also a member of the Moose Lodge #793 and Palmer Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Keil; mother, Deo Keil; siblings and spouses, Brian and Trudie Keil, Barbara and Mike Arend of Washington, Beverly DuBos, Eileen and Peter Probasco, Jennifer Keil and Jessica Keil of Alaska. He is also survived by his extended family, Joan Malmassari, Bob Malmassari, Marla and Dee Melton, Laurie and Mike Mulvihill, Deann and Kevin Corcoran, eight nieces and eight nephews. He is also survived by his trusted companion and hunting partner, Zeus.
