Glenn Highway northbound lane reopens following accident

PALMER — The Glenn Highway northbound lane is open after it was closed for about two hours following a multi-vehicle accident on the Knik River Bridge Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Department of Transportation report, the northbound lane reopened just after 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The Anchorage Police Department issued an alert that the northbound lane was closed at the bridge at 2:28 p.m. Detours were set up and traffic was delayed. APD assisted the Alaska State Troopers at the scene.
