Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

PALMER — The world famous Harlem Globetrotters Alumni Team will perform at Colony High School at 7 p.m., Oct. 25. The players, including “Smooth” Forbes, “Hollywood” Brown, “Sugar Bear” Capers, “Tree” Gordon and “Memphis” Douglas, provide positive and motivational programs and fundraisers for students across the U.S. and Canada.
The team will face off against local businessmen, politicians and principals from the Mat-Su Borough School District in an exhibition game to raise funds to send the marching band to California to participate in the 125th Tournament of Roses Parade. Tickets are $15 can be purchased at Colony High, or come to the pregame meet and greet with the players for $25 and get a courtside seat. Children 3 and under are admitted free.
