Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Her famiy said, "Mom's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She loved to have her home filled with all her family, friends and lots of good food. Memories of Mom's good cooking, love for music, and her child like humor will always be with us. Her faith was unwavering, the source of her strength and her greatest gift to her family."
Mrs. Patton was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate Daniel Evert Patton of Ft. Morgan, Colo. They resided in Anchorage in the Spenard area for 25 years, and made their retirement home in Colorado.
She leaves behind her eight children, Debra Carver and family of Sutton, Anna Castor and family of Anchorage, Daniel J. Castor and family of Golden, Colo., Karla Atwood and family of Wasilla, MaryKay Bascom, Nichole Allen and family of Eagle River, Michelle Patton and family of Anchorage, and Stephanie Patton of Seattle, Wash. She was blessed with 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
