I gave up the indoor track for the great outdoors this week and the dogs are very happy.
It’s a little sloppy and muddy with some ice here and there but I can get five, 10 minute power walks in a day getting back to my desk without disrupting the day. I don’t know how people can plug along on treadmills. I have hills, terrain and fresh air. Spruce Hens and other creatures are starting to move around in the woods to keep it interesting. The dogs keep my cardio up yelling at them to “drop it!”, “leave it!”, “don’t roll in that!” and “what the heck is that?”.
It’s great having partners to walk with. The dogs sleep longer and we are all slimming down. We are planning to enter the 5K , MTA- Crevasse Moraine Trail Run & Dog Dash - Saturday, August 9, 2008, the third race in the MTA Race Series.
