Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Monday I was driving in Palmer after our last snow storm.
The city workers were very busy trying to clear the streets of all the snow. They had both sides of the road cleared but had not yet removed the very large berm in the middle.
Across from the Palmer Senior Center was a very tiny, elderly lady trying to cross the berm pushing her walker and climbing over it. In front of me was an MEA truck and behind me were about five cars. The MEA truck stopped all the traffic and I had the privilege to watch this man gently help the lady over the berm and escort her all the way across the street.
I just wanted to thank that MEA gentleman. I was so proud of his loving kindness.
You may never know who is watching and on this day I was very blessed.
Thank you sir.
