"For Alaskans who want less government and greater individual liberty and freedom, there is no better choice than Pam Goode."
Pam said it best in her recent letter about why she's running for House District 9. I recommend that anyone voting in Pam’s district visit her website, pamgoode.com and read the letter. She's one of the best candidates running in Alaska this year.
You can be proud to cast your vote for Pam Goode on Tuesday.
Those who are happy with the status quo and want more interference in their lives from every level of government should vote for Jim Colver. In a recent letter by a Colver supporter, Pam's opponents stooped to the level of publishing lies about Pam and the Alaska Constitution Party (ACP). As the Vice Chairman and Communications Director of the ACP, I'm happy to share the truth about our excellent candidate and the new party we’re building for Alaska.
First, calling Pam an ‘inexperienced beginner’ is disingenuous. Pam Goode is an elected official serving on the Deltana Community Corporation (DCC). She is continuously involved with the issues and concerns of this unorganized area. The DCC is just the kind of local publicly elected organization that we need. It is kind of like the borough assembly — without the borough — and has no authority to tax constituents. It administers any monies coming in the door for area-wide efforts like supporting the volunteer fire department and various road projects over the years.
She describes the Deltana area as "one of the most free places left in the world." Her successful circumnavigation of the globe on a small sailboat with her husband James tells us all we need to know about her ability to live within her means, use resources efficiently and plan prudently for the future. We need leadership by people who have walked the walk in the real world.
Mr. Colver has been a financial supporter of Mark Begich (who we know votes with Obama 97% of the time) and supports Bill Walker for Governor. Mr. Colver wants you to vote for him now that he’s a Republican, but which party will he be supporting if he’s elected to represent you in Juneau?
During Pam Goode’s time serving on the Delta Greeley School District policy committee, she proposed a policy whereby teachers can expose a conflict between current rules and their duty to uphold and defend the constitution without fear of reprisal. This proposal was adopted by the School Board and is now policy.
Alaska is at a critical juncture and will need members of both the House and the Senate who are prepared to make difficult budgetary decisions. Pam has been endorsed in this race by Alaskans for Sustainable Budgets. Jim Colver has not. Pam knows firsthand that Delta's best interests are not being served by "budget denial" in Juneau. Mr. Colver is very likely to join those who are marching us down a road that would force us to slice up our PFD and perhaps implementing a State Sales Tax or Income Tax by 2023.
“Pam is a strong fiscal conservative who, because she will operate outside the established parties, is positioned to become a leader on fiscal issues in the next legislature — a much needed fresh, new voice,” said Brad Keithley, the force behind a statewide effort to bring Alaska’s budget under control.
In addition, Pam is endorsed by Alaska Right to Life, Joe Miller, Conservative Patriot’s Group and the Alaska Constitution Party.
In order to instill fear in voters, Mr. Colver’s supporter lied about Pam Goode and the ACP platform. His supporter was not only willing to smear Pam’s good name but also tried to hurt our genuine effort to uphold our traditional American way of life.
The Colver supporter claims that Pam and ACP support abolishing Social Security and Medicare. The Constitution Party advocates phasing out the entire Social Security program, while continuing to meet the obligations already incurred under the system. The platform doesn’t address Medicare directly. The healthcare plank of the platform says, “the Constitution Party opposes the governmentalization and bureaucratization of American medicine”.

Pam Goode spoke out and is on the leading edge against common core and testified during the legislative session before various committees. The day after one such testimony by her and many others the State of Alaska pulled out of the unconstitutional ‘Smarter Balanced Consortium,’ which was being headed by forces outside this state.
Besides fighting against the unconstitutional invasion of privacy that would have taken place on the assessments side of common core, countless monies were saved by the State of Alaska from having to implement assessment strategies in a state undergoing fiscal pressure from falling oil prices/revenues.
“Mrs. Goode, a past Independent who also recently switched political parties to the Constitution Party, has only the most rudimentary public service experience,” Colver’s supporter wrote.
I wouldn’t call 17 years working as a systems analyst for NASA and several years at the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site “rudimentary public service experience”.
Pam Goode is not afraid to tell you about her guiding principles.
“The foundational strength of our country lies in our founding documents and our Godly heritage. Our leaders take an oath to God to protect and defend these documents; therefore the foundation of this country. Our country is faltering because our elected officials are taking their oath in vain, at every level of government, and ‘We the People’ are not holding them accountable.”
Pam will take her Oath of Office seriously, she will not abandon her principles. She will strengthen her community and help lead Alaska to a brighter future. She is the only conservative choice in this race and is ‘Goode for Alaska’. She’s also not afraid to call out those who aren’t being honest. Vote for Pam Goode, House District 9 on Nov. 4.
Maria Rensel is the Vice Chair of the Alaska Constitution Party.
