POINT MACKENZIE — On April 27, 72-year-old Goose Creek Correctional Center inmate Rand Tickner was pronounced dead at Goose Creek.
No foul play is suspected. Tickner had been imprisoned since Feb. 3, 2017 as an unsentenced inmate on charges of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree and sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree. The death is the fourth in Department of Corrections custody this year and is not COVID-19 related.
