Government exists because of business

To the editor:

In a campaign speech on Friday, July 13, President Barack Obama stated that private industry would not exist without government and consequently owes the government more taxes then it is now paying.

Really? The private sector of our economy generates income that provides taxes that support our government. President Obama, you have it all wrong. Government exists because of private businesses, not the other way around. I can’t think of a more vivid, focused snapshot of this president’s misguided ideology where everything starts and exists because of the government.

President Obama’s statement in that speech lets everyone see the coming perfect storm of increased taxes and runaway government growth if he is re-elected in November, because that is the only path he knows.
