HOUSTON — It was a tale of two very different halves of basketball at Houston High School Tuesday.
Grace used a big second half to turn what was a two-possession game at the break into a lopsided Southcentral Conference victory. The Grizzlies outscored Houston 15-6 during the final two quarters, and posted a 45-22 win over the Hawks.
Grace held the slim 8-6 lead over Houston after the first period, and had a 20-16 advantage at halftime. The Grizzlies blew open the game with a 14-2 third-quarter run.
Aspen Ruth led the Hawks seven points and six rebounds.
The Grace boys completed the sweep with a 65-25 win over Houston.
Trevor Osborne nailed six three-pointers and scored a game-high 31 points. Tobin Karlberg added 20 for the Grizzlies. Ben Bitler and Kade Taylor scored 10 points each for the Hawks. Kolby Taylor led Houston with nine rebounds.s
