Grant helps out

To the editor:

Alaska Family Services Tobacco Prevention and Control program and Breathe Free Mat-Su (the local tobacco coalition) would like to thank Mat-Su Health Foundation for the generous grant it awarded our program.

This grant paid for advocacy training for two of our Breathe Free Mat-Su members, and it will allow us to attend a national tobacco conference in California in September.

Together, these training opportunities will strengthen our coalition and help us build the capacity to move our efforts forward.

Becky Stoppa,

AFS Tobacco Prevention and Control Coordinator
