With the recent loss of our beloved son, Robert “Jake” Pevan, our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the most overwhelming outpouring of support that we have ever known. Having to go through this experience has been so very painful. Our family has been touched by many family members and friends old and new who have all gone above and beyond the call of comfort and support. Thank you.
Thank you to the countless number of people who made food, organized and brought food to our home and to the Wasilla Bible Church for the service, cleaned, answered phones when we could not talk and simply were there for us. Many people sent cards, flowers, donations and postage stamps. We were very touched.
We would also like to thank the Wasilla Bible Church for allowing us to have the service at the church, and Pastor Jim Eller for guiding and getting us through the most difficult first weeks.
A special thank you to all the individuals as well as businesses and organizations for the generous donations made to the Jake Pevan Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship will be a great way to remember Jake throughout our lives, and will be something that our family will always continue to support. We will be using these funds to help kids who are deaf or hard of hearing all around our state.
Thank you to all the people that attended the service. It is such a blessing to know how many lives that Jake touched. What a wonderful young man he grew to be and how proud we are of him. What a great community that we live in and we are thankful for many things in life. Your continued thoughts and prayers are welcomed as we live through this tragic loss. Our hearts will forever miss him and we will never forget his beautiful smile.
