Your Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting the city of Wasilla 4th of July Parade. This year’s theme is “Honor the Past, Imagine the Future.”
The parade begins at 11 a.m., July 4 and will head though downtown Wasilla. As the city and Mat-Su Borough have grown, so have parades. There has been a major change to the lineup for the parade so that all participants have plenty of room for their entries as well as those enjoying the event.
Parade entries will need to arrive by way of Weber off of the Parks Highway with check-in beginning at 9 a.m. under the Wonderland Park Pavilion on Nelson Street. Lineup will start on the corner of Nelson and Lucille Street.
The other change will be the judges area will be in front of city hall. The city of Wasilla will also have bleachers across from city hall at Nunley Park for your viewing.
Any time there is change there might be bumps in the road along the way, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we provide the best we have to offer here in the city of Wasilla.
There are a few days left if you would like to enter the parade, but all entries must be into the Wasilla Chamber of Commerce by noon, July 3. Applications are online at visitwasilla.org/events/index.htm.
See you at the parade!
