The Alaska Gun Collectors Association's Fall Gun Show, held Oct. 4-5 in Ben Boeke Arena in Anchorage, is offering several seminars designed for students, or about students.
The show, one of the largest of the year, is offering free seminars ranging from a mini gun safety course for students to a gun safety course for adults on how to kid-proof your guns and your home. Anchorage Police Department officers will be presenting the seminars.
During the spring gun show, a special "Beginning a Collection" seminar was given for students ages 10-16. A Daisy BB gun was given away to get a student started on a new hobby, and that popular seminar is again being offered by the organization.
On both days, the mini gun safety course begins at 12:30 p.m. and the collection seminar begins at 2 p.m. The student/adult gun safety course is at 3 p.m. on both days.
