Gunfire in Wal-Mart parking lot leads to assault charge

ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

WARRANTS

June 2, 2:30 a.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Rae Ln.: William G. Kunesh, 53, Wasilla, was stopped for a moving violation and arrested on a warrant for FTA on a DUI charge. Bail: $1,500.

June 2, 3:45 a.m., Parks Hwy.: Jason A. McDonnell, 31, Houston, was stopped for an equipment violation and arrested on a warrant. Original charge: no insurance. New charge: providing false information. Bail: $2,500.

June 2, 5:55 p.m., Palmer: Jonathon Grogan, 23, Wasilla, was stopped for a traffic violation and arrested on a warrant for FTA on a no insurance charge. Bail: $500.

June 3, 6:15 p.m., Johnson Rd. near Parks Hwy.: Reinaldo Delsie, 51, Wasilla, was stopped for a moving violation. His license had allegedly been suspended for not paying child support and he was arrested on a warrant for DWLS. New charge: DWLS. Bail: $1,000 with a CAPTC.

PROBATION VIOLATIONS

June 2, 3:15 a.m., Jerry Cir.: Nicolette L. Anderson, 28, Houston, was arrested at a disturbance for allegedly drinking in violation of her probation. No bail set.

June 2, 3:15 a.m., Jerry Cir.: Gordon F. Kamholz IV, 25, Houston, was arrested at a disturbance for allegedly drinking in violation of his probation. No bail set.

June 3, 1:59 a.m., Rumrunner’s Bar: Andrew Kirkland, 27, Wasilla, was allegedly boasting about being on felony probation. He was arrested for drinking and being in a bar in violation of that probation. No bail set.

June 4, 1:19 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Church Rd.: Raymond F. Sloan III, 23, Houston, was stopped for an equipment violation and arrested for violating his probation. New charge: DWLR.

DUI

May 18, 2:30 a.m., Trunk Rd. at Duchess Dr.: William C. Tigert, 33, Eagle River, was stopped for multiple moving violations. Charges: DUI, MIW. Bail: $1,500.

June 1, 4:59 p.m., Seward Meridian Pkwy. at Cottonwood Way: Brett Cooper, 35, Palmer, was stopped for erratic driving. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

June 2, 7:45 p.m., Mile 33 Glenn Hwy.: Roger F. Marcum Jr., 45, Palmer, was stopped for a moving violation. Charges: DUI, DWLS, refusing a chemical test. Bail: $10,000 with a CATPC.

ACCIDENTS

June 1, 4:53 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Trunk Rd.: Cassandra Reckner, 24, Palmer, was westbound in her 1997 Dodge pickup when she rear-ended a 2002 Dodge pickup stopped in traffic driven by Sarah Dundas-Mock, 47, Wasilla. Dundas-Mock was pushed into the rear of a 2007 Toyota pickup driven by Andrew Orthmann, 34, Tok, who was pushed forward and lightly struck a 2006 Toyota SUV driven by Jill Besse, 54, Wasilla. Dundas-Mock was treated at a hospital and released. Reckner was cited for not exercising due care and lacking proof of insurance. Total damage: $12,000.

June 4, 1:59 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. near Shennum Dr.: Richard Gildersleeve, 55, Palmer, was westbound in a 2006 Chevy Silverado when he rear-ended a westbound 1999 Chevy Cavalier in which Matthew Smith, 29, Wasilla, was trying to make a left turn. Smith was treated for minor injuries at a hospital.

WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS

May 29, Cottonwood Creek: Kelby Fox, 34, Anchorage, was cited for allegedly fishing without a license and in closed waters.

May 30, Cottonwood Creek: John Cannan, 48, Calif., was cited for allegedly fishing in closed waters.

June 2, Canoe Lake: Frances L. Duclos, 61, Willow, was cited for allegedly making a false statement on her application for a fishing license.

June 2, Matanuska Lake: Hank A. Kochendrofer, 27, Eagle River, was cited for allegedly fishing without a license.

June 2, Matanuska Lake: Anthony J. Simeroth, 34, Palmer, was cited for allegedly fishing without a license.

VCR

June 3, 2:41 a.m., Caswell Lakes: Michelle Woodford was arrested for allegedly drinking in violation of her release conditions. No bail set.

DRUGS

June 3, 12:31 a.m., Williwaw Way and Bogard Rd.: Kathleen J. Cockrell, 24, Wasilla, was stopped for allegedly running a stop sign and arrested for allegedly possessing a user’s amount of crystal meth. Bail: $5,000.

ASSAULT

June 3, 11:30 p.m., Wasey Way: James M. Woods, 61, Houston, allegedly assaulted a member of his household. Charge: DV assault. No bail set.

THEFT

June 4, 11:37 a.m., Birch Harbor: Someone stole a $500 wedding ring.

PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

DWLS

June 4: Andrew J. Lovejoy, 25, Sutton, was summonsed for DWLS.

June 4: Keith Russell Baker, 38, Wasilla, was summonsed for DWLS.

June 4: Melissa K. Healy, 39, Palmer, was arrested for DWLS and VCR. No bail set.

June 10: Joseph Osborne, 20, Wasilla, was arrested for DWLS, jailed and released on his own recognizance.

RUNAWAY

June 4: A 13-year-old Palmer girl was reported as a runaway.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

June 5: Hazel B. Lee, 65, Palmer, was found dead at home. Foul play is not suspected.

FRAUD

June 5: A 38-year-old Palmer woman reported fraudulent charges made to her business credit card. Loss: $126.

THEFT

June 6: Two fishing poles and reels were stolen from a 49-year-old Palmer man’s boat. Loss: $340.

June 7: A 54-year-old Delta Junction man reported a gun stolen.

June 8: Ryan J. Srebnack, 27, Wasilla, was summonsed for theft.

June 10: Two Palmer girls, ages 14 and 13, were allegedly caught shoplifting. Charges were sent to juvenile intake.

ACCIDENTS

June 6: A Palmer 17-year-old driving a 2000 Ford Expedition collided with a 2004 Nissan Sentry driven by another Palmer 17-year-old. No injuries. The Nissan had to be towed.

June 9: Stacie Bishop, 31, Wasilla, collided with a 2005 Ford 500 driven by Marvin Jay Denbleyker, 81, Palmer.

MARIJUANA POSSESSION

June 7: Mandy May Green, 32, and Sol Houston Rogers, 34, were summonsed for marijuana possession.

June 8: Nicholas Strahan, 21, Anchorage, was summonsed for marijuana possession.

FOUND PROPERTY

June 8, headquarters: Someone turned in a set of keys.

ASSAULT

June 8: A 26-year-old Kenai woman was charged with two counts of DV assault. No bail set.

DAMAGED PROPERTY

June 9: A 25-year-old Palmer man was arrested for DV criminal mischief. No bail set.

WARRANT

June 10: Ernest Johnson, 22, Palmer, was arrested on a $100 warrant for FTA in court on an MCA charge.
