The rock and roll legends of the 70’s and 80’s will rock on when Minnesota-based rock band Hairball takes the stage Saturday night, July 9 at Everett’s in Wasilla.
“We preach the power of rock and roll when we perform,” says Dave Moody, one of the lead singers of Hairball.
And this band is no one-trick pony. The live and breathe the biggest acts in classic rock and roll including KISS, Motley, Crue, Queen, Journey, Van Halen, just to name a few.
“We serve a feast, a smorgasbord of the hits to the crowds,” says Moody. “It’s amazing to sing the chorus to your favorite songs, spill beer on your buddy, and stand shoulder to shoulder, sharing the songs we cut our teeth too.”
Moody, along with singers Joe Dandy, Kris Vox take to the stage and perform as the original singers, and immerse the crowd in a spectacle of pyrotechnics and heart-pounding rock music.
Moody was tapped to become part of the rotation of singers over a year ago and has had a blast stepping into the personas of the rock icons he grew up listening to and admiring.
“To walk in their shoes, perform their songs, is such a privilege,” he says. During the shows, Moody sings and performs up to 7 different singers, including Gene Simmons and Brian Johnson.
While Hairball revolves around a trio of musicians that play the full repertoire of nearly 30 songs per show, they are backed by drummer Billy, bassist HBK, and lead guitarist Happy who bring their own enthusiasm for rock to each show.
Hairball marks its 4th trip to Alaska with the outdoor show at Everett’s on July 9, along with a show in Anchorage on July 8 at Koots.
Tickets are available at matsuresort.com or at the band’s website, hairballonline.com. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the fun kicks off at 8 p.m.
