Pittman Road Fire Station
A child friendly Halloween event is planned at the fire station on Pittman Road Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, Oct. 29-31.
Pumpkin Patch Carnival Oct. 30
Kings Chapel Wasilla is sponsoring a Pumpkin Patch Carnival from 5 to 7 p.m., Oct 30 at the Curtis D. Menard Sports Center. The fun includes face painting, crazy hair designs, lots of candy, door prizes, give-aways, a costume contest and a fireworks display in the parking lot. Cost is $5 for children 12 and under. Halloween Hollow is Oct. 30
Halloween Hollow at Raven Hall from 2 to 8 p.m., Oct. 30. Proceeds benefit the Mat-Su Special Santa program.
Haunted house offers children’s viewing Sundays 4 to 6 p.m.
Gateway to Darkness — a 12 and over only haunted house — has a kids’ viewing time on Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. Regular haunted house for adults is open from 7 to 11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, and from 6 to 9 p.m., Sundays.
Meet Sparky at open house
Palmer Fire Association will host its 19th annual Autumn Harvest Open House at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Palmer Fire Station. Meet Sparky the Fire Dog, play games and enjoy Halloween treats. All children are welcome.
Scary stuff in Trapper Creek
Haunted house enthusiasts won’t want to miss the second annual scary house in Trapper Creek, open 7 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Oct. 29-30 at the Trapper Creek Community Center, Mile 115 Parks Highway. Admission is two items of non-perishable food.
Fall Festival Oct. 31
Faith Bible Fellowship is hosting an Olde Fashioned Family Fall Festival from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 31 at Faith Bible Fellowship in the gymnasium. Free fun for the whole family. For more information, call 892-8545.
Tour the ‘Haunted Garage
Maze of Terror’ Oct. 30-31
Parents and kids of all ages are welcome to tour this year’s Halloween “Haunted Garage Maze of Terror,” at 6 p.m., Oct. 30-31, at 1041 E. Susitna Dr. in Wasilla. The event is free and includes several animatronics. No chain saws blaring.
